개안리는 속리산에서 발원하여 보청천으로 합류하는 삼가천이 장안에 이르고 두갈래로 동남,서남쪽으로 분류되어 흐르고 그 가운데 마을을 이르고 있으며 면적 1.1km 에 31가구 74명(2007년말) 장안면의 중심부에 위치하여 동은 봉비리,서는장안리,남은 황곡리,북은 서원리에 접하고있다.
